Welch Allyn has combined Halogen, fiber optic illumination with integrated circuitry to produce the Audio Scope - the world's first handheld instrument for the screening of hearing loss. The push of one button activates an automatic screening cycle that provides fast determination of hearing acuity at 500, 1000, 4000 and 4000 Hz at 25 dB for adults and children four years of age and older.
A viewing area with Halogen illumination and fiber optics allows for viewing the auditory canal and tym- panic membrane prior to and during screening.
·Effective, Pure Tone Screening at 20, 25 or 40 dB HL. Choose the 20 dB HL AudioScope for pediatrics, the 25 dB HL AudioScope for hearing loss detection in adults and children ages 4 and older, and the 40 dB HL AudioScope for screening ages 65 and up. All three present tones at 500, 1000, 2000 and 4000 Hz.
