The Contraves stand and mounts are the perfect
answer to positioning problems. The design includes a balancing system which
insures absolute freedom of movement and weightlessness of microscope and
accessories. Six degrees of freedom- three translational and three rotational
-are provided by electromagnetic coupling in the arm joints. All Six couplings
can be released by actuating the switches in the handles,and the microscope
is locked automatically in position when the switches are no longer pressed.
